Amid rumors of her split from husband Ben Affleck, singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has reportedly canceled her upcoming tour, according to TMZ.
Tour promoter Live Nation explained that Lopez, a mother of two, is “taking time off to be with her children, family, and close friends.”
The tour, which was scheduled to kick off in mid-June, was intended to promote her latest studio album, This Is Me…Now, released in February.
In a heartfelt message to her fans through her newsletter, On The JLo, the 54-year-old star expressed her deep regret: “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you, and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time.”
Contrary to rumors of poor ticket sales, a source informed the Daily Mail that this did not influence Lopez’s decision to cancel the tour. However, Variety reported that she had previously canceled seven tour dates—Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans, and Houston—in March.
“Jennifer made this tough decision this week, and she’s sorry to her fans,” a source shared.
Fans who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster will receive automatic refunds. Those who bought tickets from third-party resale sites should contact the place of purchase for more information.
Lopez and Affleck, famously known as Bennifer, were last seen together publicly on May 30, attending the graduation party of Affleck and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s daughter, Violet, who recently graduated from high school.
The couple, who married in 2022 after rekindling their romance nearly 20 years after their first relationship in the early 2000s, are reportedly living apart.
